reducing barriers, unleashing curiosity

a museum visit at it's best

is a flow-like experience - temporarily immersing ourselves in a different world, expanding our horizon, challenging our views and believes, educating ourselves, inspiring, and sometimes deeply moving us. Ideally, we take away a meaningful, enriching experience.

We can only get this, if what we see, read, or hear, is understandable, as well as tailored to our interestes and abilities. In other words: it needs to be tailored to who we are, what we like, what we know, and where we come from. As this differentiates, for each and everyone of us - the prerequisties are as diverse as humans themselves.

So far, the most sensible way to cope for museums was curating an exhibition for the "average visitor". The problem? This person only exists on paper and in statistics. The less we match this profile, the higher the barrier to having a great experience.
